We have been approached by an extremely impressive and growing provider of optical and multi-sensor measuring equipment to assist them in their search for an experienced Application Engineer coming from a metrology products and measurement systems background.

The Position:
To support growth strategy, we are looking for an Applications Engineer with a proven track record in the Metrology sector.
Applicants must have a fresh and dynamic approach, be fast learners and feel passionate about pursuing a rewarding career in engineering.
In the role, you will be required to:
Provide applications support to customers throughout the UK and Ireland
Assess a customer’s complex technical requirements and offer suitable solutions
Support the sales team with product demonstrations both on and off-site
Provide training to customers
Work on metrology projects including program generation and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) testing
Install the software-based elements of the product

Excellent communicator
Good time and workload management skills
Experience and/or qualification in a high-precision engineering applications/quality role
Computer literate, with knowledge of software and Windows-based systems
Willing to travel and in possession of a full and clean driving licence
Able to spend nights away from home as and when necessary
