We’re recruiting experienced Power Electronics Design Engineers to join a rapidly growing R&D department within a global technology business. These are key hires, forming the core of a newly expanded engineering team working on the next generation of motor control systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to take real ownership in design and development, from concept through to finished product, while collaborating with specialists across firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering.
What you’ll be doing
Designing, simulating, and testing power electronic circuits
Schematic capture and PCB layout
Prototyping, debugging, and fault-finding
Supporting the development of EMC-compliant products
Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
What we’re looking for
Essential
Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Strong background in power electronics circuit design and testing
Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
Knowledge of AC motor control systems
Clear communication and collaborative approach
Desirable
Experience with Altium Designer
Familiarity with MATLAB/PSIM for modelling and simulation
Knowledge of PFC circuits
Experience with EMC compliance (conducted/radiated emissions)
Exposure to DSP-based motor control firmware
Master’s or PhD in a relevant discipline
